We inspect your drain to make sure those weep holes are cleaned out allowing water from under the tile to find it’s way to the drain. This reduces mold issues by allowing the shower system to dry out between uses.
Past grout repair needs to be corrected. Applying grout over grout will never work. Grout doesn’t bond to existing grout, period. Using grout in corners will fail because grout is not flexible and showers floors and wall expand at different rates. Using industry standard recommended silicone caulk will mold eventually especially if the shower floor pan has excess amounts of water/moisture that is trapped.
Drain had brass screws that were even the correct thread size and were stripped. Using a tap to correct the threads, in this case the tap was a 8/24 pitch bit using wd-40 as a lubricant to re-thread those holes in the cast iron drain assembly. New stainless steel screws were used to fasten the drain screen in place. The 3 weep holes were cleaned out from the inside using a small pick with 90 degree angle.
