Tile Installation & Remodeling Showcase

Decades of Building Expertise: A look at a premium custom shower installation. Holding an active CA C-54 contractor license since 2001 and actively building for over 25 years, our 35+ years of total hands-on remodeling and renovation experience gives us a massive edge. Because we know exactly how these systems are built from the studs up, we can pinpoint structural weaknesses instantly—allowing us to accurately assess whether a shower can be saved and restored, or needs a full replacement, saving our clients thousands of dollars.

Owner-Executed Craftsmanship: Formerly operating under our legacy brand Shower Pros, we have transitioned to GroutRepairPro to match our modern, dedicated focus on specialized restoration work. Every single tile, joint, and design line shown here was personally hand-installed by business owner and veteran tile contractor Jason Pettinato. We never outsource to third-party sub-contractors, ensuring a level of elite quality control that our competitors simply cannot touch.

Traditional Old-School Methods: This custom tub-shower combination features a traditional, old-school mud-set mortar bed installation, built to withstand generations of daily use. Grouted exclusively using high-performance Laticrete Epoxy Grout for a permanently stain-proof and waterproof joint, the metal Schluter profile trim borders were meticulously fitted with sharp attention to detail for a sleek, contemporary edge.

Flawless Geometric Alignment: True tile artistry shows up clearly in grid symmetry and straight lines. Our installations maintain perfectly uniform grout joints across both vertical walls and horizontal planes. This strict layout planning ensures that accessories, borders, and corners seamlessly line up without awkward, mismatched sliver cuts.

Meticulous Niche Detailing: Up-close detail highlighting a perfectly executed, miter-cut Schluter metal tile edge profile framing a built-in shampoo niche. Each individual corner piece is meticulously filed and hand-sanded to remove sharp factory burrs. This uncompromising attention to detail guarantees clean geometric sightlines and a premium, luxury finish.

Precision-Pitched Water Shedding: Proper installation means sloping the window sill and top of curb, ensuring that water naturally sheds back into the shower pan rather than pooling inside the niche over time.

Book-Matched Corner Layouts: Look closely at how the vertical corner tiles are flawlessly book-matched—meaning the grain pattern and cut length of the tile wraps cleanly from one wall straight onto the adjoining wall. Built with a comprehensive Schluter full-shower system for a lifetime warranty, we combined Laticrete Spectralock Epoxy Grout with custom surface-bullnose tiles, cut down with absolute precision to wrap cleanly to the outer drywall. True pride of craftsmanship shows in every single joint.

Picture-Framed Window Profiles: This structural window section utilizes a custom “picture-frame” design layout, demonstrating Master-level tile cutting and intricate planning around challenging architectural obstacles. Every cut is balanced to wrap fluidly into the window recess while maintaining a completely water-tight assembly that guards against structural rot.
The GroutRepairPro Philosophy: We constantly educate our clients on a foundational industry reality: tile and grout are purely cosmetic. The absolute most critical component of a wet area is the hidden waterproofing framework beneath it. Because we possess comprehensive, multi-decade knowledge of structural shower mechanics, our new builds are engineered to remain perfectly dry and mold-free behind the walls for decades to come.
